Summer after Labour Day offers at least three weeks of the season without all the pressure of barbecues, parties, festivals, and sun tanning on the beach.
As I walked the beach this week, it felt like I could re-claim it.

Most of the tourists and summer people are gone. The beach is empty.
I have time to marvel at nature’s best art on the beach. The driftwood arrangements change daily.

Sometimes nature decides that greenery and flowers can grow from the larger pieces of wood — a flower arrangement on the beach!

For diversion, and to remind me that summer isn’t over, I’ve included a photo of my favourite beach sign.

This sign is found at the end of our beach just at the entry to Pinery Provincial Park.
I don’t think the park warden erected this sign! I love the bikini bottom hanging on the sign which indicated that someone had taken the advice.
With three more weeks of summer — will you have time for the annual skinny dip? If so, heeding this last sign is good advice!

Labour Day is over but three weeks of summer remain. Increase your retirement happiness — enjoy every minute!
Good advice–never skinny dip alone! Love it.
I’ve loved walking to see that sign all summer. Thinking about the message always brings a smile. While I enjoy doing many things alone, there are some things that are better with a partner!!!
Be well,
Jeanette
